Philippians 1:1-11 recap with supporting verses

Inward, Outward, Corporate Handout - How to better "shema"
Inward
Comprised of things like: Prayer, fasting, meditation, silence, solitude, and meditation
One thing to think about: Everyone's journey here is different so this can be achieved in a ton of ways but it has to be done with deliberate intention to grow toward God.
Outward
Comprised of things like: Service, action, loving kindness toward others, care of neighbor, financial generosity toward God’s kingdom [tithing to the church]
One things to think about: Not just for your physical neighbor next door to you, or community members, but also your brothers and sisters in Christ.
Corporate
Comprised of things like: Family bible reading/study, worship, celebrations, leadership, small groups.
One thing to think about: Parents, one of the easiest ways to do this is to read the Bible to your kids or pray with them at bed time/meal time. For singles and married people without children at home this can be a trickier daily rhythm but that only increases the significance for you to be a part of a corporate worship community at least once a week.
For further discussion of all of these things I suggest you read Richard Foster's "The Celebration of Discipline", it is a wonderful work on spiritual growth/loving God with your whole self!
